BIG NEWS!!!!

Lately we have been putting the boy on the potty while we get his bath water ready.  For a while he thought that the bathtub was the best place in the world to tinkle and we have been trying our best to put an end to this notion!  We hoped that sitting on the potty might encourage him to tinkle before he got into the tub.  It didn't work... until tonight.  While we went on about our business and he sat on the potty with some light reading... we heard the music start playing (it plays music when someone tinkles).  We cheered and clapped and took pictures... who knows if he understood what on earth was happening!

After a happy tinkle experience we celebrated with a bubble bath!  What an eventful night!

For some reason after all the Christmas festivities, we ended up with some bubble gum around the house.  Being a sucker for a good piece of bubble gum, I decided to help myself. And everyone knows that you can't chew a good piece of bubble gum without blowing bubbles.

The boy is fascinated with blowing bubbles... or popping bubbles anyway.  On this particular occasion I noticed that he was trying to blow a bubble himself (sans gum).

This is what it looked like:

Smoothing out the gum...

Blowing...

Smoothing out the gum...

Blowing...

It wasn't as successful as he was hoping it would be... but it was hours of entertainment for me.

Christmas Day (finally)...

This year (and hopefully ever-after) we were able to spend Christmas morning here at our house.  Grandma and Pawcaw came down to spend the day with us.  We had such a great time watching Caden enjoy the morning and beginning our Christmas traditions at home.

Here he is exploring his stocking...

Seeing what Santa brought...

I don't know what is going on here, he is supposed to be giving his dad that gift.
The previous gift becomes a pull-toy here...
